Shari: Month 1at two wks the baby is the size of a pinhead and the egg attaches to the lining of the uterus. The internal organs and circulatory system begin's to form and the heart begin's to beat. Small bumps indicate the beginning of arms and legs.Month 2 :At 2 months the baby is about 1/4 inches long. The baby's face ,eye's,ear's,and limbs begin to take shape and it's bone's begin to form. Month 3: At three months the baby is about 1 inch long and the nostrils,mouth,lips,teethbuds,and eyelids form. The fingers and toes are almost complete. all organs are present although immature.

*INFANTS. Keep the baby close to you and comforted. Take time to touch the baby; infants respond to touch. Pay attention to the baby's reaction to you and continue the actions that produce the reactions you want. If the baby is soothed by rocking,use rocking when he or she is upset.Finally,remember to play with the baby. Babies crave stimulation,especially from their parents.
*TODDLERS AND PRESCHOOLERS. althogh these children are older and more indapendant than infants, they still need a parent's attention. continue useing touch by giving the child an occasional hug just to say I love you to.Keep playing with the child and take interest in the games that he or she invents.
*SCHOOL AGE CHILDREN. Talk to the child,and encourage the child to talk to you.Keep communacation open. Respect the childs feelings and disires,and value his or her opinun.
